Make a scrolling text emoji
Create a scrolling text GIF emoji for Slack and Discord. Enter a short message, adjust its travel speed, and save a readable, repeating marquee.
The marquee effect brings text in from the right and moves it to the left in a repeating cycle. It works well for short announcements or status messages that need more space than a single still frame.
How to make it
Enter a short message
In the text tab, enter a phrase such as “in a meeting” or “back soon.” Choose a bold font and contrasting text color so the moving letters remain distinct.
Choose marquee and travel speed
Select the left-scrolling marquee effect and adjust movement speed. Watch several loops to check that you can read the whole phrase as it crosses the canvas.
Save a Slack or Discord GIF
Choose the Slack or Discord 128×128 output size and GIF file-size target, then save as GIF. Check the downloaded loop and file size before uploading it.
Tips for a clear emoji
Use this effect for team status updates and short notices. Shorten long sentences and lower movement speed if the text passes too quickly to read. If the file is too large, simplify the background and colors or remove extra effects before saving again.
